Voluntary Work Experience

Voluntary work is a great way to network yourself into your chosen field and to get exposure to the types of roles and skills your target organisations need.

Organisations of all sizes tend to have more openings for voluntary work - not as a form of free labour, but as a way of supporting their work values and community responsibilities.

Temporary work can give you money and transferable skills. So while the work itself may not be in your ideal area, use opportunities to:

  • learn skills you can build on
  • network with people to build useful contacts and references
  • gain valuable work experience to build into your CV

We have a number of large organisations that support our "Earn as You Learn" philosophy to offer students work to fit around their studies. We also have Intern programs for students looking to develop sector specific experience.
